On October 12 - the first day of filing for Certificate of Candidacy (COC) more than 22 Filipinos proclaimed their aspiration to be president as they filed their candidacy to the Commission on Elections (COMELEC).
Netizens reacted
negatively to the number of candidacies from inexperienced candidates who
became sources of annoyance, frustration and even entertainment. This reflected
irreverence to the presidency which upset and even infuriated some netizens.
This led them to call some of the candidates, "nuisance
candidates." The following are your top 2 favorite
candidates:
Allan Carreon known as,
"Intergalactic Earth Ambassador" who claims to have communicated with
intergalactic aliens through the internet. Whose platform includes Wi-Fi
for the entire Philippines which according to him should allow him to continue
communicating to the intergalactic beings.

Romeo John Ygonia of Benguet, a 51-year-old volunteer missionary also known as, “Archangel Lucifer." Who with conviction claims to be "sent and chosen by God" for this endeavor. ![]()

This has evoked a raucous of emotions from the Filipino people. The filing of COCs which used to be a very essential matter has somehow turned into a freak show. And this is just the kind of happening that begs us to question,
just how long are we
going to keep this political comedy running?
